What is an ERP system, and when do you need one?
An ERP system (Enterprise Resource Planning) is business software that brings your entire operation together in one place: partners, sales, inventory, production, workflows, documents and financial reporting. Data is entered once, and every department works from the same up-to-date information.
It's worth considering an ERP when:
- data has to be transferred by hand between several separate programs and spreadsheets,
- you don't have a clear view of your stock levels, order status or your team's workload,
- as you grow, more and more time goes into admin,
- you need up-to-date reports to make decisions, not month-end summaries,

Appon ERP is our in-house business management system. Frequently asked questions
How much does an ERP system cost?
The price depends on how many modules you introduce, how much customisation and integration is needed, and how many users will work in the system. Because we build on existing modules, it costs far less than developing a system from scratch. After discovery we give you an itemised quote.
How long does implementation take?
That depends on the number of modules and the volume of data to migrate. A smaller rollout takes a few weeks; a multi-module system with custom development takes several months. Modules can be put live one by one, so you can start using the system early.
Can it connect to our invoicing software and webshop?
Yes. We've built integrations with invoicing systems (Billingo, Számlázz.hu, Billzone, IMA ERP, Provimax) and card payment providers (OTP, SimplePay, K&H, UniCredit, CIB, PayPal), and the webshop module can be part of the system itself.
Can the system be extended later?
Yes, Appon ERP is modular. You can start with a few modules and add new ones at any time, or we can build a custom module for you.
How secure is our data?
The system makes daily (or, if required, continuous) backups, never physically deletes critical data, and keeps detailed logs of user actions. With permission management, every colleague sees only what they need.
How is it different from a CRM system?
A CRM focuses on customer management and sales, while an ERP covers your entire operation, from inventory and production to controlling. If you mainly need customer management, CRM development may be the better choice.
